NEWBORN PRICING
The newborn stage is so fleeting and magical; your baby will NEVER again be this tiny! Newborn portraits are a great way to preserve this incredibly pure and beautiful period of the tiny miracle that you brought into the world. Newborn portraits are typically taken within the first 6-14 days of being born; I am open and able to document this stage up to about 5-6 weeks old if circumstances require it.
Newborn portraits take extra patience and time. I have extensive experience in safety while working with newborns, posing baby, and creative set design. I’ve been lovingly referred to as the “baby whisperer” by many of my clients.
All of my packages include a certain number of image files, professional retouching to those images, downloaded from a gallery in versions for printing and sharing. I do not charge a weekend session fee although my weekend availability is limited. Newborn sessions are typically scheduling on a weekday. There is no minimum print or keepsake purchase requirement; you are not obligated to purchase anything additionally but you are of course welcome to. I want you to enjoy the portrait process with these simple straightforward packages!
When should I hire a newborn photographer? I recommend reaching out during the early portion of your second trimester. I do only take so many newborn clients each month to ensure that I have enough room on my calendar for once baby arrives. If your baby has already arrived and you’ve only just found me, no worries! I most likely can make room for one last minute newborn session.
What’s the next step? Review my packages below and then contact me so we can discuss what you are interested in specifically. A signed contract along with a $50 retainer is required to secure a newborn spot on my calendar; this process is all done online. The retainer goes toward your total balance, it is not an additional cost.

Mini Newborn Portrait Package
$300
Styled and posed portraits of just baby
- Up to 40 minutes in-studio
- Due to the time limit this session is intended to document just baby (if you would like family or sibling poses it will require at least the Basic Newborn Package)
- Access to all studio props and posing accessories, I do provide all items needed for the session. Keep in mind that due to the time constraints baby may be swaddled for most of the session, this varies based on how sleepy baby is: If you prefer non-wrapped poses of baby or you'd like to request poses I recommend the classic or deluxe newborn package
- Anticipate about 2-3 different looks of just baby
- Session questionnaire for styling and a session prep guide
- 8 image files of your choosing, versions for printing and sharing; delivered via internet download
- Professional newborn skin retouching (even skin tone, reduce jaundice, remove dry skin)

Basic Newborn Portrait Package

Styled and posed portraits of just baby OR family/sibling portraits with baby
- Up to 1 hour in-studio
- Due to the time limit this mini session is intended to either document just baby or family portraits with baby
- Access to all studio props and posing accessories, I do provide all items needed for the session. Keep in mind that due to the time constraints baby may be swaddled for most of the session, this varies based on how sleepy baby is: If you prefer non-wrapped poses of baby or you'd like to request poses I recommend the classic or deluxe newborn package

- Anticipate family portraits and 1-2 simple pose of just baby OR about 3-4 different looks with just baby

Classic Newborn Portrait Package

- Anticipate about 4-6 different looks with just baby plus family and sibling poses (or 5-7 looks if no family portraits are being done)

Family and styled poses of just baby. This package includes a bit more session time and images than the classic package.
- Up to 2.5 hrs in-studio; the option of traveling to your home with a mini studio setup is available for an additional $100 fee

- Access to all studio props and posing accessories, I do provide all items needed for the session
- Anticipate about 5-7 different looks with just baby plus family and sibling poses

Would you like the session to be held in your home?
I am available to travel to your home for a newborn session; I offer a few options for this. If you’d like a more lifestyle look (so using your home and your items for the portraits) there is no additional cost as long as you are within 45 minutes of 55428. If you’d like the posed studio look for baby I am able to bring props, flooring, and accessories to pose baby for an additional $100 fee. With either look I do bring professional lighting equipment. Travel is available with any of my newborn packages except the Mini Newborn Package.

Turn Around Timeline Summary
Within 24 hours of your session, a sneak peek image will be up on my Facebook fan page and instagram. The selection gallery will be available within 24-48 hours. Your final images will be ready approximate 1-2 weeks following the submission of your image selection. Image files are delivered via an internet download link that is provided once you have reviewed your final images.
Prints and Keepsakes
I am excited to offer many new print options for my clients and guests; this includes but is not limited to metal prints, calendars, folio boxes, framed prints. I will continue to offer regular prints, photo cards, and canvases.
